Sajilo Sewa formerly known as Sajilo Marmat Sewa started as an entrepreneurship class project during our MBA class at Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM). My Co-founder Mr. Sujeet Regmi found out that customers were facing severe problems trying to acquire swift maintenance services in the capital. The idea emerged as a solution to the customers problem. The team was able to grab an award for the best idea in Ideahunt, an intra- Kathmandu University business idea competition . As a reward, the idea was incubated at Idea Studio, a nationwide Entrepreneurship Development Program. So, three enthusiastic Kathmandu University graduates decided to solve the maintenance problem and start their entrepreneurial journey in 2017.
Since the brand’s inception, Sajilo Sewa has been working to solve underemployment, exploitation of technical workforce inside and outside the country, and brain drain in Nepal. We have been trying to provide technical experts access to the larger market. While doing so, the company has provided jobs to more than 250 service providers, and received more than 30,000 bookings from more than 10,000 unique customers. The company has more than 100 subscription clients that we call Annual Maintenance Contracts. Sajilo Sewa is also the winner of the ‘MIT Global Startup Labs 2018.’ Recently, the company closed an investment of NRP 100 Million from ‘True North Associates‘ for Expansion.
Recently , the company rebranded from ‘Sajilo Marmat Sewa’ to ‘Sajilo Sewa’ and launched its new website on the occasion of our 5th anniversary on 20th June 2022. Rebranding was supported by addition of new and exciting services. We will soon be launching our Mobile application which will make the services even more Sajilo.
